Daiya Foods Inc. (Daiya) is the creator of North America’s top dairy-free cheese alternative.
As an industry leader and one of the founding members of The Plant Based Food Association, Daiya is passionate about celebrating delicious food that is dairy, gluten and soy free. Daiya products are a deliciously dairy-free alternative that melt, taste and stretch like dairy-based cheese. Daiya is free of many of the common food allergens including gluten, dairy (both casein and lactose), soy, eggs, wheat, barley, whey, peanuts and tree nuts (excluding coconut oil). Daiya products are free of animal products, cholesterol, trans fats, and preservatives.
The company offers a line of premium plant-based foods, such as: greek yogurt alternatives; pizzas; cheezecakes; cream cheeze style spreads; as well as their wonderful cheese alternatives, available in the dairy case and freezer aisle as blocks, shreds and slices. Daiya has also recently expanded its offerings to include shelf-stable products such as cheezy macs, dairy-free dressings and cheeze sauce. To ensure food safety, Daiya follows the strict guidelines and practices of the Safe Quality Food Institute.
Daiya was established in 2008 in Vancouver. It is driven by the shared passion for a plant-based lifestyle of owners Andre and Greg, who believe it is better for their health, the planet and animal welfare. The company is committed to making a positive impact by volunteering and donating to local food banks such as the BC Foodbank, Quest Food Exchange, Salvation Army Harbour Light and many more.
