What's New?

• A new blue alert type has been added to the Alerts tab that allow CMS Lite users to provide information alerts
• When a page is cloned, the Moved Date & Moved By fields on the Settings tab will not be inherited from the original page
• If you upload an asset, or multiple assets, which exceeds the 100 MB limit an error message will be displayed
  • Also, valid file-types are no longer rejected when uploading a batch of files that include banned file-types (shtml, html, htm, js, css, php, jsp, json)
• The Results Per Page option have been expanded from 10, 25, 50, to include 100, 150, 250, when viewing results in the Content/Asset Status Pane, and the Asset Folder Pane.
• Other front and back-end changes have been implemented to improve the application

• A Moved Date column has been added to the Content Status Grid
  • A Moved Pages in the More filter has been added to the Content Filters
• When moving assets folders or assets, the following enhancements have been implemented:
  • An email will be sent the user that last modified the folder or asset
  • A Moved Assets in the More filter has been added to the Asset Filters
• A new Feature combo-box has been added to the Content Filters allowing user to find all pages with the following Right Column Components:
  • Use of Contact Information box
  • Use of Promo box
  • Use of Related Links box
  • Use of a Subscription box
  • Use of Twitter Feed box
• If a Modification Reason is entered it will be recorded in the Content History tab Action column as Saved Page Reason: 
  • Modification Reason is not a mandatory field; therefore, if nothing is entered the Reason field will be blank
• When publishing a page with a subscribe to email notifications via a Right Column Component (RCC), the Publish box has been enhanced to include the number of Subscribers
  • Notify xx Subscriber(s) of this page. Please be mindful of the number of messages sent in a day. Vet messages through your organization’s approval process before publishing.
• Other front and back-end changes have been implemented to improve the application

What's New?

• When moving pages, the following enhancements have been implemented
  • When you move page(s), users who are currently modifying the affected pages will be sent an email about the move
  • Moving a page will no longer change the Modified Date. There are now two new fields in the Settings tab to record who moved a page, and when it occurred
  • A move of a page within the same parent will no longer be recorded in the History tab, as they are simply navigation changes within the same parent
• For SYSADMINs, the Security tab in the Group pane will now indicate the GUID for each page and asset folder listed
• There are now four reports available within CMS Lite for ALL users (a Reports link is now available in the Banner). No security is applied to any of these reports; therefore, you will see all activity.  Use MS Excel to sort these csv reports.  Reports are produced daily at 06:00 AM, with the exception of the monthly Link Checker report.

1. Link Checker: A report of all (suspected) broken links. It is produced once a month, at the beginning of the month
2. Moved pages: A list of moved pages. The most recently moved page will be found at the bottom of the spreadsheet
3. Usage - Assets:  The usage of all assets in QA and PROD. Similar to the Usage tab, but site wide
4. Usage - Pages: The usage of all pages in QA and PROD. Similar to the Usage tab, but site wide

• You now have the ability to provide metadata using the Open Graph protocol
  • This is aimed for use on gov.bc.ca, and a pre-defined Tag Collection will be available for use

What's New?

• In the Asset  Folder Pane, ASSET_FOLDERS will indicate if they have children folders. ASSETS will indicate if they are in use
• If you create a new page, and leave "New_Page" in the Title, Nav Title or Page path upon the first save, you will be prompted to remove or accept the title
• If you clone a single page or a clone a page with children, and leave "Clone" in the Title, Nav Title or Page path up on the first save, you will be prompted to remove or accept the title
  • In addition, the keywords and description will be removed from all cloned pages (no exceptions)
• A new Asset filter on the Asset Status grid on the CMS Lite homepage allows users to display only assets in use.
• A new multi-selector content filter called "More" has been added to the Content Status grid. Users may choose multiple filters at one time.
  • Has Children = "N", Has Children = "Y", In Use = "N", In Use = "Y", Locked, Locked by me and Moved Page
  • If you are looking for a recently moved page, go the CMS Lite homepage, remove your IDIR from the Modified by field, select “Moved Pages” from the More multi-select menu, and click Filter
  • External Links are now found in the Page Type dropdown
• You now have the ability to allow users to subscribe to email notifications via a Right Column Component (RCC) on a PER PAGE basis. Each page still maintains the max of four RCC per page. You need to manually add the RCC on whatever page you want a web user to subscribe to
  • IMPORTANT! Care must be taken while sending mass emails. You do not want to overly send updates to subscribers. Plan wisely for which pages you want to be subscribe-able, and how frequently you want to notify users
  • IMPORTANT! Before you remove a Subscription RCC or delete a page with a Subscription RCC email the service desk for proper removal of the subscription list
  • Only CMS Lite users who have the role to publish content can send an email message to subscribers (max 140 chars)
  • Only email addresses can be used to subscribe to a page. No subscriptions via mobile phone is allowed
  • A web user  unsubscribes to an email they are subscribed to (one or all emails)
• Other front and back-end changes have been implemented to improve the application

• Limited-release launch of Service Journey Builder, which enables authors to create service-specific content pages and service journey experiences on gov.bc.ca. As a part of our Journey Builder roll-out and evolution, this release is limited to a finite group of users
• The following changes have been implemented on gov.bc.ca and intranet.gov.bc.ca. They have been done based on UX research with citizens:
  • The header has been changed, making site navigation more streamlined
  • The font has been increased from 13px to 16px
• The top-level Themes are now listed (arranged) in alphabetical order
• Other front and back-end changes have been implemented to improve the application

• The Tree Navigation in the pickers now have an up/down scrollbar, which improves the user experience
• If you move a child page, and don't republish it (in it's new location), and then try and delete its parent, the deletion will not happen, and you will be notified by email
• The Release Notes link, accidentally removed in the previous release, has been restored to the Help menu on the Banner
• The GDX email address, which is displayed in the application's error messages has been updated
  • please use the new address when contacting the Service Desk team gdx.servicedesk@gov.bc.ca
• You can now use the Open Item by URL or ID field on the CMS Lite homepage to search for Taxonomy, Vocabulary, Term, Tag Collection Folder, Tag Collection, Metadata Tag Collection Folder, and Metadata Tag Collection by its ID

What's New?

• You now have the ability to hide the left nav bar on the Gov and Gov Intranet sites
  • This can be applied to Topic pages. On the Settings tab (in CMS Lite), choose the option "Hide Left Side Navigation?" if you want to hide the left nav
• The "Revert Body to PROD" button has been removed on page types, as the History tab contains various versions for which you can revert back your content
• The function which allows for a CSV file to be used to upload vocabularies, now allows for parent-children relationships
  • In addition, you can also include Scope Notes for each term
  • Please see two sample CSV files - Data Upload From CSV (initial version) | Export Data to CSV (from CMS Lite)
• Tag Collections now include a Usage tab, which lists all pages/assets which utilize a Tag Collection
  • For users who create Tag Collections, you can now delete them when they are not used on pages or assets
  • In addition, fields can be removed from a Tag Collection when that field is not populated on pages or assets
  • Also, a Tag Collection folder can now be deleted when it contains no Tag Collections
• A feature, which allowed for the publishing of the left navigation (for instance, you rearranged the I.A. of your topic, and don't want to republish the content) has been reinstated to the Action Menu of the Content Navigation Pane.
  • This feature is only available to users who have the role of CONTENT_AUTHOR, CONTENT_APPROVER and SYSADMIN
• A bug which prevented the expansion\collapse of accordions, has been fixed
• A bug which prevented those that managed their security group, has been fixed
• A bug which prevented the CKEditor from loading in Firefox and Chrome, has been fixed

• The resizing of a map, data visualization or event calendar in CMS Lite (and on the rendering side) has been fixed
• The Address field for the Contact Information right column component has been changed from a text field to a text area field
• The Content Status Grid (on the CMS Lite homepage) now indicates if a page is being used in QA or PROD. This value is derived from the Usage tab for a given page
• The Asset Status Grid (on the CMS Lite homepage) now indicates if an asset is being used in QA or PROD. This value is derived from the Usage tab for a given asset
