The Dewdney Bridge across Nicomen Slough on Highway 7 (Lougheed Highway), approximately 8 km east of Mission, has been replaced with an improved crossing and upgraded intersections at both approaches. The new Dewdney Bridge opened to traffic on June 16, 2025, ahead of schedule.
Dewdney Bridge connects Highway 7 on either side of Nicomen Slough, with a connection to Highway 1 via Highway 9 and 11. The original Dewdney Bridge was built in 1958 and was nearing the end of its serviceable life. Replacing the bridge achieved modern seismic and environmental enhancements and upgraded width of the new structure on an improved alignment.

A $32.6-million contract for the new bridge was awarded to Kiewit Construction Services ULC.
