Last updated on April 27, 2026

Baxter Bridge

Baxter Bridge is located on Trinity Valley Road, approximately 11 kilometres east of Enderby.

The previous one-lane timber bridge was replaced with a two-lane steel and concrete bridge, built to current standard with a design life of 75 years. Trinity Valley Road and Miska Road were also realigned to improve safety while minimizing impacts to the public and surrounding properties.

Status & Schedule

The main contract to replace the bridge was tendered in October 2023 and awarded to Formula Contractors Ltd.

Construction commenced in January 2024 and was completed in November 2025.

Project benefits

  • Improved load capacity will enhance commercial hauling through elimination of legal load restrictions
  • Increased safety and traffic flow through the bridge lane addition
  • Fewer delays from reduced future maintenance and repair works
