Begbie Falls FSR is open to traffic. Due to logging activity, public users are advised to be cautious of logging trucks and heavy equipment on location between 0.0km and 0.4km of Begbie Falls FSR.
Hadow Creek FSR 0330.01 (June 13, 2025) - Notice of Upcoming Road Closure
Bridge replacement N5-029 (0.0km). This replacement project will require a 3-month road closure, from July 1, 2025 - September 30, 2025 during which time no access through the work site will be available. There will be no alternate route to Hadow Creek FSR which includes access to Whiskey FSR and the Hadow Creek Recreation Site. See map (PDF, 270KB) and bridge image (PDF, 2.4MB) for further reference.
Jordan FSR 0805.01 (April 30, 2025)
Now open to the public, be advised of high industrial traffic use from 0.0 to 3.0km, use posted Resource Road Channel.
Akolkolex FSR 5384.01 (June 17, 2025)
Akolkolex FSR has been re-opened at 12.5km but will remain closed from 20.5km onward. It is unknown at this time when the road will be re-opened.
Blaeberry FSR 7507.01 (historic – date unknown)
Road closed at 5.4 km due to Bridge Removal. No repair date. Alternate access to Thompson Falls via Thompson Falls FSR (7507.02)
Blazed Creek 9178.01 (July 20, 2020)
Road closed from 0.8 to 3.5 km indefinitely. Bypass via the Bluebird operational road on opposite side of valley.
Burrell – McFarlane Creek 0099.03 (June 19, 2018)
Road closed at 2.5 km due to culvert wash out. No planned repair date.
Burrell – Tenderloin FSR 0099.02 (June 15, 2021)
Road closed at 6.9 km due to culvert washout. Road has been barricaded. No planned repair date.
Goat/Kamma Creek FSR 0052.03 (June 6, 2025)
Road is closed at bridge N7-082 to all traffic at 25.5km for public safety due to deteriorated bridge deck conditions.
Goat Range Park Br FSR 7051.02 (June 13, 2025)
This FSR is located at 47km on Hwy 31, approximately 4.5km southeast of Trout Lake, and provides access into the Healy Creek watershed. Road is closed to all traffic at the 0.0 km bridge N7-266 for public safety due to deteriorated bridge deck conditions. No planned repair date.
Halfway River North FSR 0176.01 (June 1, 2017)
Road closed at 4.5 km due to washout. Road has been barricaded. No planned repair date.
Idaho Lookout FSR 3108.01 (June 1, 2020)
Road closed at 1.5 km due to fill slope failures and culvert washout. Has been barricaded. No planned repair date.
Incomappleux River FSR 3397.01 (2024)
Road is closed (gated and barricaded) at 0.0 km due to public safety risk, including down rated structures and rock fall hazard. Deactivation planning is underway.
Kuskanax FSR 0042.01 (March 1 - April 21, 2025)
Road will be closed from March 1 to April 21, 2025. This FSR has a District Manager approved traffic control device (gate) at 0.4km, to support Arrow Lakes Caribou Society Maternity Penning Project.
Powder Creek FSR 7475.01 (June 15, 2021)
Road closed at 12.3km due to damaged bridge (N7-137). No planned repair date.
Rendell Creek FSR 9267.01 (June 15, 2021)
Road closed at 9.0 km due to culvert washout. Road has been barricaded. No planned repair date.
Tangiers River FSR 6139.01 (October 2020)
Road closed at 0.0 km. Has been deactivated.
Wilson Creek West 0035.02. (2015)
Road closed at 6.0 km since 2015. Fill slope failure. ATV access only. Has been barricaded. No planned repair date.
Incomappleux FSR 3397 (December 4, 2024)
The Incomappleux FSR is closed due to risk to public safety. Plans are underway to deactivate the Forest Service Road. Draft prescriptions have been developed for Branches 01, 03 and 04, with the work tentatively scheduled to start in the summer of 2025. Idaho Lookout FSR 3108.01 (December 4, 2024)
The Idaho Lookout FSR has been closed since June of 2020 due to fill slope failures and culvert washouts. The Selkirk District is currently doing engagement on options that are being considered to reestablish access to Idaho Lookout. The options were developed in conjunction with the Ministry of Forests Engineering Branch, along with input from the Selkirk Resource District Engineering department. Ground truthing and feasibility studies have been completed over the last couple of years to identify the most reasonable options to reestablish access to Idaho Lookout.
