South Island Natural Resource District Road Safety Information

Road Closures

Cook Creek FSR 9613 Branch 4 (BR4701) (as of Dec 5, 2017)
BR4701 FSR off the Cook Creek Main will be closed at 1.5 km due to a failing bridge abutment.  There is no access beyond this point.

Mosquito Main - FSR 10282 Branch 09 (as of March 25th, 2019)
Mosquito Main is closed at 5.8 km due to a debris flow across the road. Repairs to the road will be completed when safe to do so when dry weather prevails and the soil conditions are dry. The road is closed until further notice.

Road Access Restrictions

Branch 600 (NH600) – Nahmint FSR 7954 (as of February 27th, 2019)
Nahmint FSR Branch 600 may be blocked to sort logs and load logging trucks. Public access will be permitted in-between the loading of trucks or as posted at the beginning of the road. Access will remain open every day after logging operations cease and on weekends. Access restrictions are in effect until May 31st, 2019.

Authorized Gate Closures

Loup Creek FSR 9296 Branch 02 and Branch 03 (as of February 4th, 2019)
Branch 02 and 03 are gated until June 30th, 2019. The purpose is for public safety while harvesting activities are carried out.

Nahmint FSR 7954 Branch 316 (as of July 30th, 2018)
Branch 316 is gated until October 31st, 2019. The purpose is for public safety while road construction activities are carried out.

San Juan FSR 10282 Branch 26 -TO200 (as of April 25th, 2014)
Branch 26 (Road TO200) is gated until such time as quarry operations are completed. The purpose is for public safety.
