Road closures and notices

Bull River/Van Creek FSR 0089.02  (June 22, 2022)
Road closed approximately 200 m past (north) of the Cliff Lake Trail trailhead (39.5 km mark). Access to Cliff Lake Trail is still possible, although access to the Mitchell Lake Trail (farther up Van Creek FSR) is not possible. Repair of this washout is planned for later this summer.

Cartwright FSR 0001.02 (July 9, 2021)
Road closed 3.4 km from the west end due to a condemned bridge.

Flathead FSR 0030.01 (July 2013)
Closed from Corbin South to Flathead town site due to multiple washouts, including all bridges and culverts.

Gray Creek Pass FSR 0252.17 (October 12, 2021)
Road closed for the season.

Jumbo Creek FSR 7825.01 (June 30, 2022)
Jumbo Creek FSR will be closed starting Monday, July 4, 2022, 8:00 am MDT until Sunday, July 10, 2022, 4:30 pm MDT. This is a planned closure that restricts access to the Jumbo Creek FSR. A special event is planned between the start of the route and Panorama Dr. (15 km west of Panorama Mountain Resort). The road will be closed and a detour will not be available. The closure is for Ktunaxa ceremonial purposes within the Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area. Details of this closure can also be found on the Drive BC website.  

Lodgepole-Cabin Creek FSR 5466.07 (November 4, 2021)
Road Closed at 40.5 km due to a major washout.

Mark Creek Main FSR 0252.20 (May 2018)
Closed to non-industrial traffic. This closure, and accompanying gate, was approved to protect public health and safety, and to reduce the risk of significant sediment delivery to Mark Creek.

  • Mark Creek Main FSR is the access to the Mark Creek Community Watershed, which provides water for the City of Kimberley.

McClatchie FSR 5466.06 (July 2013)
Closed at the Squall Creek Bridge due to bridge washout.

Morrissey FSR 5466.05  (January 29, 2022)
Road Closed at 19.5km at gravel pit, close to washed out bridge. Starting January 31, 2022, there will be contractor crews working on the bridge. Due to this activity, there will increased industrial traffic on Morrissey Road, Morrissey FSR, and other roads in the vicinity.

White Creek FSR 0252.10  (January 26, 2022)
Road Closed at 5.7km at bridge.  Bridge structure has been compromised by an erosion event, making it unsafe to cross.  The bridge at 12.4km on the White Creek FSR, past the closure, is also being closed for the same reason.
