Road closures and notices

Cartwright FSR 0001.02 (October 4, 2023)
Bridge has been removed (N2-013).  This site is located ~3.4 Km from junction of the Leadqueen FSR.

Flathead FSR 0030.01 (July 2013)
Closed from Corbin South to Flathead town site due to multiple washouts, including all bridges and culverts.

Frances Creek FSR 0276.01  (September 15, 2022)
Closed at 48 km due to a compromised road surface due to erosion of road edge where the road is close to the creek.

Horsethief FSR 5467.01 (July 8, 2024)
Closed at ~46km (3km from end of road) due to washout. Closure until repairs complete - tentatively anticipate repairs complete by July 19, 2024.

Kootenay-Albert FSR 0105.07 (May 24, 2024)
Road closed at 56.1km. Avalanche path has washout road surface and is considered unstable.  Site is not recommended for any driving including 4x4 trucks.

Mark Creek Main FSR 0252.20 (May 2018)
Closed to non-industrial traffic. This closure, and accompanying gate, was approved to protect public health and safety, and to reduce the risk of significant sediment delivery to Mark Creek.

• Mark Creek Main FSR is the access to the Mark Creek Community Watershed, which provides water for the City of Kimberley.

McClatchie Creek FSR 5466.06 (December 7, 2022)
Bridge is closed (N1-107) at 53.5km due to the washout of the bridge approach due to flooding. This bridge is located near the junction of the Flathead Main FSR and the north end of the McLatchie Creek FSR.

McClatchie Creek FSR 5466.06 (July 2013)
Bridge has been removed (N1-108) at 57km, at Squall Creek, due to bridge washout. This site is located near the junction of the Flathead Main FSR and the north end of the McLatchie Creek FSR.

White Creek FSR 0252.10  (October 13, 2023)
ATV bridge at 12.4km is closed due to rot in all wood components. Bridge at 5.4km has been repaired for regular vehicle access.

White-Rock FSR 4603.09  (July 10, 2024)
Road Closed at the 55km and 56km marks. The road closure is from July 10 to July 19, 2024.  The road is closed for bridge repairs on two bridges that are located at the 55km and 56km marks. During this closure, it will not be possible to use the White-Rock FSR to get from the Kootenay FSR to the White-Swan FSR, or vice versa.  The closure is approximately 12km from the White-Swan FSR, and approximately 26km from the Kootenay FSR.
