Road notices and warnings

Use of 2-way radio systems is required: Craigellachie Anstey – Gorge (0839.01) Forest Service Road
Use of 2-way radio systems is required from October 31 to May 1 annually to coordinate the movement of all traffic. This road restriction is established to improve the safety of industrial and recreational traffic during periods of high use. Road users are reminded of their obligations under Section 5 of the Forest Service Road Use Regulation; and the use of a 2-way radio.

Work in progress / upcoming works

Sugar Lake FSR 0905.01(Oct 6 - 30, 2025, Working Hours: 8am-4pm, Monday-Thursday)
This works is in relation to the Sugar Lake Bridge Project and will restrict access to the Sugar Lake Forest Service Road (0905.01) for those connecting to it by the Sugar Lake bridge. Sugar Lake Bridge Map (JPG, 38KB)

The traffic impacts from this work:

• The bridge will be fully closed during work hours (Monday-Thursday from 8am-4pm)
• The bridge will be fully open outside of work hours
• The bridge will remain fully open over Thanksgiving Weekend

Sugar Lake FSR 0905.01 (Sept. 8 - Nov 3, 2025) 
Construction crews and equipment will be active on the Sugar Lake Forest Service Road between 42 - 48 Km. During this time road users may encounter heavy construction equipment, road users should anticipate delays and be prepared to share the road with other users.  Work is expected to be completed by November 3, 2025

Ashton Mara East (Skyline) FSR 5143.05 (May 14, 2018)
Road closed.

Bastion Creek FSR 5653.01 (January 2019)
Road closed for water control purposes.

Bear-Jackpine FSR 7720.04 (September 25, 2025)
Road will be closed between 10-12 Km, scheduled for October 3^rd – 7.^th  This closure is in support of a geotechnical assessment and local site testing. During the closure, the road will be fully closed between 7:00am and 7:00pm, during which time no vehicle access will be permitted through the work site.The road will be fully open outside of these work hours.

Bear-Stuart FSR 7720-01 (June 5, 2024)
The Bear-Stuart FSR is closed.  The Bridge located at 44-Km (Bridge K1765) is unsafe for use, there is no timeline on a reopening.

Harris Creek FSR 1031.01 (June 16, 2022)
Road closed at or near 24.0 km due to a road washout. No timeline on repairs.

Joe Rich FSR 10649.01 (July 5, 2021)
Road closed at 4.2-Km – the road is washed out at this location. No timeline on repairs.

Mabel - Cotton FSR 1111.05 (June 14, 2022)
Road closed at or near 38.0 km due to a landslide blocking the road. No timeline on repairs.

McGregor - Siwash Rock FSR 7596.05 (May 28, 2018)
Road closed at 0.5 km due to washout. No timeline on repairs.

Monro Lake FSR (8696.01),  Peachland (8694.01), Peachland-Glen Lake (8694.04), and Peachland-Trout (8694.03) (September 27, 2025)
These FSRs are closed.  This closure is in support of the fire suppression effort, K52192.  There is no timeline on a re-opening.

Seymour River FSR 7271.01 (September 15, 2025)
Road is washed-out at 45 km, this includes bridge K1066. Crews are currently assessing the road washout. There is no vehicle access beyond this point. Message is intended for wide distribution. There is no timeline on a reopening for this road.

Scotch - Lamberton FSR 0771.04 (May 14, 2018)
Road closed at 10 km due to slide. No timeline on repairs.

Sugar - Nelson FSR 0905.06 (May 21, 2020)
Road closed at 32 km due to road failure. No timeline on repairs or reopening.

Sugar Lake – Sugar Reiter FSR 0905.02  (June 24, 2022)
Road closed at or near 8 km. The road is washed-out at this location. No timeline on repairs.

Whiteman Creek FSR 8569.01 (May 5, 2023) 
Road closed. This closure does not impact access to the Sugarloaf Forest Service Road which will remain open.

Whiteman Creek - Bouleau FSR 8569.02 (September 10, 2021)
Road closed.

Whiteman Creek - Granite FSR 8569.03 (May 5, 2023)
Road closed.
