Highway 1 Kamloops Brake Check Enhancements

The project intends to expand and improve the eastbound scale and brake check and the westbound scale and CVSE inspection areas to better support trucking operations, with a focus on safety, improved lighting, and upgraded washroom facilities.
Traffic impact
During construction:
- Scales and brake check will remain operational
- There may be limited space and extended queues
- Existing washrooms will be closed for construction
- There will be short term disruptions or closures
- Inspection Areas may be temporarily relocated on site
- Commercial vehicles are requested to drive ahead and make use of the entire brake check lane as per the signage on site. The left lane is for through traffic only.​

- Adding flush washroom stalls on east and west sides
