Location: The site is located on Canal Road along the north side of South Pender Island approximately 2.5km eat of Canal Road Bridge.

Description: Reprofiling slope by excavation and/or controlled blasting on the slope face south of the existing asphalt, construction of a 6.1 m wide, two-lane road, excavation and grading, placing sub-base & base compacting and paving new roadway, construction of gravel shoulder on each side of the new roadway, construction of 3 m wide catchment ditch on south side of road and construction of a 44 m long retaining wall structure on the south side of the road, temporary Barge landing facility and tree clearing.
