RoadSafetyBC is one of the key provincial agencies responsible for road safety. Under the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, we govern drivers, oversee driver medical fitness, run driver programs and implement road safety policies. Our focus is on addressing high-risk driving behaviours (speeding, distracted driving and impaired driving) and we work with partners to help reach our goal of zero traffic fatalities and serious injuries.
RoadSafetyBC assesses drivers' medical fitness and makes licensing decisions. Stay informed about the process and your responsibilities.
Driving with a prohibited or suspended driver’s licence is illegal. Learn about the rules.
Visit each program to learn about how it works, available payment options and the appeals process.
