Beneficial Management Practices Program

Last updated on September 23, 2025

What’s New:

A new category — Extreme Weather Preparedness (EWP) — is now part of the Beneficial Management Practices (BMP) Program.

  • Applications open October 1 for the BMP: Extreme Weather Preparedness category
  • An Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) is not required to apply
  • Stay tuned by signing up for the for IAF and AgriserviceBC newsletters for updates.

The BMP program provides cost-share funding to producers to cover equipment purchases, energy/greenhouse gases projects, irrigation projects, construction projects, riparian projects and water projects, and more.

Upon completion of an environmental farm plan, project funding to increase your agricultural sustainability and contribute to a cleaner, healthier environment may be available through the BMP.

The Beneficial Management Practices (BMP) Program is currently closed for applications, except for the Extreme Weather Preparedness (EWP) category or sub-categories. Please visit Investment Agriculture Foundation for more information about the funding opportunities of the previous intake or to sign up for their newsletter.
