Lulu Island Winery
Lulu Island Winery Ltd. combines traditional Chinese wine making methods with Western technology to create perfectly crafted wines.
The company offers a wide range of wines for export, including: red wines, white wines, blueberry wine, and a large selection of Icewines. All icewines are made from exclusively B.C. grapes that are naturally frozen on the vine, have no additional sugar added, and are produced without artificial refrigeration.
First established in Richmond in 2000 as the Blossom Winery production facility, the company rebranded to Lulu Island in 2009 with the launch of their full wine range. They are now one of B.C.’s largest icewine producers and exporters, sending much of their wine production to international markets.
Founder and President John Chang has worked for years to understand every aspect of the winemaking process. All of the company’s products make use of fruits sourced locally from growers and vineyards throughout Okanagan, B.C.; where sustainability measures like drip irrigation, composting and recycling help lower the carbon footprint of the company’s products. The winery gives back to the community by donating to various local organizations, including the Richmond Food Bank and the Richmond Community Foundation.
