You can create callout boxes to help focus reader attention to specific information.

Callouts are a section of text highlighted to direct your attention to key information.

They are created at the paragraph level, similar to bullets and heading styles. 

You can use most formatting and features in callout boxes


When to use callout boxes

Use callouts to communicate important information.

Callout boxes should be used to highlight text that needs to stand out. For example:

  • Key points
  • Tips and advice
  • Examples

When not to use callout boxes

They should not be used for:

  • Warning notifications
  • Page alerts
  • Routine information

Limit your use of callout boxes. Using callout boxes too often:

  • Reduces their effectiveness
  • Can make the page look cluttered

How to create a callout box

To create a callout box:

  1. Place your cursor in the paragraph you want to convert.
  2. Click the callout icon Callout icon from the CK Editor in CMS Lite
