Global Fruit strives to deliver tree-to-table perfection to their customers. Their world-class cherries are grown in B.C.’s interior region, where the climate produces cherries that are known for their exceptional size, with some of the highest brix (sugar) content on the planet. The combination of cool-but-mild winters, medium-to-hot summers, and the right mix of moisture, soil and drainage creates a climate perfect for cherry farming. Warm days and cool nights extend the growing season here, while crops are fed with B.C.’s pure, crystal clear water. Most of Global Fruit’s cherry varieties were cultivated and developed in British Columbia at the Summerland Research Station to make them a perfect match for this perfect climate.

All cherries are graded, sized and hydro-cooled immediately prior to packaging. Global Fruit works to ensure that temperatures remain consistent across their supply chain to preserve freshness, and uses hand-sorting, advanced scanning technology and state-of-the-art packaging to prevent damage to the fruit. Consumer security and product quality are assured through a food safety management system, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and staff training. Global Fruit works with growers that follow GlobalGAP and are audited annually for food safety standards.

Established in 2002 in Creston, Global Fruit works with passionate orchardists around the Okanagan and Creston Valleys. Their orchards are small, intimate affairs ranging in size from 4 - 250+ acres. Global Fruit is a member of SEDEX, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to driving improvements in responsible and ethical business practices in global supply chains.
