Correctional centres

Last updated on July 11, 2024

BC Corrections operates 10 correctional centres throughout the province that house an average of 1,800 individuals at secure, medium and open security levels:

Individuals may be awaiting trial or serving a custodial sentence of less than two years.

Correctional officers working in centres facilitate behavioural, educational and work programs to help change individuals’ thinking and behaviour and reduce reoffending.

Visit Adult Custody Division for more information.

Please see our Contact page to get in touch with an individual in custody or to book a visit.
