Careers within Corrections

BC Corrections has three divisions:  Adult Custody, Community Corrections,  and Strategic Operations. All three divisions offer dynamic and rewarding career opportunities.

Adult Custody Careers

Adult Custody employs approximately 1,600 people in 10 correctional centers throughout B.C. Correctional officers in this division supervise and work directly with inmates in correctional centres. Community Corrections Careers

Community Corrections employs over 550 people in probation offices in 55 communities. Probation officers in this division supervise clients and assist them in changing their behaviour to safeguard B.C. communities. They act as agents of change by helping offenders address the causes of their criminal behaviour.
