As you will continue to be an employee of the BC Public Service following your transfer, most of your information will remain on file.
A few tasks will complete the transfer process:
Your payroll information will remain the same by default and you won't be required to set it up again unless you have new banking information to provide. You won't have to re-take the Oath of Employment or the mandatory training required of new employees.
If you will be transferring to a position included in a bargaining unit (union) such as BCGEU or PEA from an excluded position, you will have new health and life insurance benefits to explore. Upon starting in your new position, you will be required to enrol for benefits for the first time.
If you will be transferring to an excluded position from a position included in a bargaining unit, you will need to choose your flexible benefits options and complete forms for excluded employees.
