The Ministry has also historically sent paper scholarship vouchers to students, based on home addresses reported by schools (although this secondary notification may be phased out).

How the program works (overview)

A student must do the following:

  1. earn a scholarship and satisfy the program’s core and scholarship-specific eligibility requirements;
  2. pay tuition and start their post-secondary program;
  3. check for a notice in their StudentTranscripts Service account and receive their paper voucher in the mail (usually around the end of November);
  4. collect evidence of enrolment and tuition paid (such as by asking their post-secondary program provider to stamp and sign their voucher);
  5. redeem their scholarship with the Ministry; and,
  6. wait for their cheque to arrive in the mail.
