Gambling supplies, including equipment and systems, used in the gambling industry in British Columbia must be certified by the Province to ensure that high standards of integrity are met. Most gambling supplies in B.C. are used or operated by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC). BCLC is required to ensure that all of its supplies are certified by the Province.

There is no general application process for certification of gambling supplies at this time.
Most certification applications for gambling supplies are initiated by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) through an established process involving the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB) and third-party testing organizations.
Computerized ticket raffle supplies, including equipment and systems, must be certified in B.C., but this process is different than what is used by GPEB and BCLC for other types of gambling supplies.
