BC Wildfire Service prohibitions (fire bans) and restrictions apply to all land described in the legal order. Municipalities are responsible for regulating open fire within their boundaries, so please check with your local government before lighting any fire.

As per Section 12 of the Wildfire Act, the following activities and use of equipment, materials and substances are also prohibited within the Fort St. John Fire Zone, Dawson Creek Fire Zone and Fort Nelson Fire Zone (Peace Forest District and Fort Nelson Forest District):
