View all bans and restrictions for the Coastal Fire Centre, which includes the Lower Mainland, Sea-to-Sky, Vancouver Island, Central Coast and Haida Gwaii areas of B.C.
Current Coastal fire prohibitions
Effective at 12 p.m. (noon) on Friday, May 17, 2024, Category 2 and Category 3 open burning will be prohibited across the Coastal Fire Centre.
Before lighting a fire of any size, please check with your local jurisdiction (municipality, First Nations, etc.) as they may have their own restrictions in place.
