Role of Corrections

Corrections agencies are responsible for managing you while in custody and in the community serving your sentence. Corrections staff will treat you with dignity and respect. They will help you become a law-abiding member of the community.

The British Columbia Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, Corrections Branch and Correctional Service of Canada are both involved in corrections activities in B.C. In this website, they are referred to as corrections.
