Role of corrections

Corrections agencies are responsible for managing you while in custody and in the community serving your sentence. Corrections staff will treat you with dignity and respect. They will help you learn how to change your behaviour and reintegrate into the community.

BC Corrections and Correctional Service of Canada are both involved in corrections activities in B.C. In this section, they are referred to as corrections.
