Where can I find a free miner’s contact information?

In Mineral Titles Online, you can search for a title or a free miner.

The client number of a free miner will be displayed next to their name. When you click on the client number, you will see their contact information.

See search in MTO for more details about searching MTO.

Note: Individual free miners indicate whether their phone number or email address is available to the public.  Corporate free miners address information is fully available to the public.

I do not know how to use a computer, who I can hire to do my work in MTO?

Mineral Titles Branch does not maintain a list of companies who provide these services. It is up to you to ask or hire someone to help you complete work in MTO.

If you get assistance, you will need to set them up as an agent in MTO. They will then be able to complete the work on your behalf.

A BC mining association may be able to let you know who provides these services in your location:

I was in the middle of making a payment in MTO and the system crashed. Can I go back to my last step or do I have to start over from the beginning

If your system crashed, log into MTO again and review the affected titles to see if the registration was completed.

If the payment event was successfully completed, you will see an event registered on the title.  In addition, the good to date of the claim will have changed if exploration and development work or payment instead of exploration and development work have been registered.

If the date of the claims is unchanged and an event number is not registered, search for a payment receipt

If you can’t see a transaction listed on the title, please contact Mineral Titles Branch before registering the transaction again. If you do need to register a new transaction, you will need to start from the beginning.

How do I change my contact information and email address?

Log into Mineral Titles Online (MTO) and open the FMC Client Tab. Select ‘Edit Client Information’ to view and update your contact information (phone number, address, email, etc.).

For step by step instructions see edit your client information. All fields that have a * are mandatory.

You must enter a confidential phone number so Mineral Titles Branch can contact you. You have the option to enter a confidential email address, a public phone number and public email address.

It is very important to keep your contact information updated so we can reach you about your titles and let you know about important announcements.

NOTE: You may want to enter more than one email address in the confidential email field to make sure you and your agents receive all communications. To enter more than one email address in the confidential email address field, separate the addresses with semi-colons. Mineral Titles Online (MTO) uses the confidential email address to send auto-generated event confirmation emails.

Can I change the name of my claim?

No. Naming your claim occurs during the event registration process.

I forgot to print the confirmation page for my Statement of Work (SOW). How can I reprint this page so I can include it with my assessment report?

You cannot go back and print the exact confirmation page; however, you should receive an auto-generated email confirmation of your event registration that contains similar information.

You can also view your SOW details by searching the Event Number in Mineral Titles Online.

What time is displayed in MTO?

The server clock displayed in Mineral Titles Online is based on Pacific Standard Time (PST)/Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).
