Cystic Fibrosis (Plan D)
Last updated on January 3, 2025People registered with a provincial cystic fibrosis clinic and for Plan D are eligible for items in the cystic fibrosis formulary:
- Full coverage of eligible digestive enzymes under Plan D, and
- Coverage of certain vitamins, nutritional supplements and hypertonic saline solutions under their other plan (Plan C, Plan F or Plan W or Fair PharmaCare). Not covered? Register for Fair PharmaCare now
Items in the Cystic Fibrosis Formulary are eligible for coverage only if they are purchased at a pharmacy counter.
Provincial CF clinics
After you register with a clinic, the clinic contacts PharmaCare to arrange coverage for you. There may be a delay between your clinic registration and PharmaCare coverage. Coverage cannot be provided retroactively.
