The Fraser Valley Highway 1 Corridor Improvement Program is improving safety, reliability and capacity between 216th Street in Langley through to Chilliwack. Highway improvements will meet the needs of a growing region, improve travel and transit services for people in the Fraser Valley and facilitate efficient goods movement.

Phase 1 - The Fraser Valley Highway 1 Corridor Improvement Program from 202nd Street to 216th Street (4 km) was completed in September 2020.
Phase 2 - 10 km of improvements from 216th Street to 264th Street are currently under construction.
Phase 3 - 21 km of improvements from 264th Street to Highway 11 are currently in advance construction.
Phase 4 - Approximately 18 km of improvements from Highway 11 through Sumas Prairie are currently in integrated planning.
