Recent News & Updates

July 2024: 

  • July 1: The Environment sector and the Public Safety sector are now open! Applications for funding in the Environment and Public Safety sectors will be accepted until August 31. Applications for the PAC and DPAC sector closed on June 30. 

May 2024:

  • May 1: The Arts and Culture sector intake is now closed. The Sport sector is currently accepting applications until May 31, 2024.
  • May 28: The Capital Projects Grant Guidelines are now available. The intake will be open between June 17 and August 15. All applicants are encouraged to review the updated Program Guidelines before submitting an application. Register for a webinar June 19.
    Reminder: The Sport Sector closes May 31.             

April 2024: 

  • April 1: The 2024 PAC & DPAC Sector is now open! Applications for funding in the PAC & DPAC sector will be accepted until June 30. It is highly unlikely that late submissions can be supported. Please join us for a PAC webinar April 23. Contact British Columbia Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils for full details and to register. 
    Reminder: The Arts & Culture Sector intake closes April 30. 

March 2024: 

  • March 1: The 2024 Sport Sector is now open! Applications for funding in the Sport Sector will be accepted until May 31, 2024.
  • March 7:  The 2024 PAC and DPAC Program Guidelines are now available. All applicants are encouraged to review the updated Program Guidelines before submitting their next application. Applications will be accepted between April 1 – June 30.

February 2024

  • February 1: The 2024 Arts and Culture Sector is now open! Applications for funding in the Arts and Culture Sector will be accepted until April 30, 2024.
  • February 14: Upcoming presentations will be taking place in Langley on February 16, 2024 and in Langford on March 1, 2024. Please contact CGGOutreach@gov.bc.ca for event details and registration.

January 2024

  • January 26: Register for an online presentation on February 7 about the 2024-25 Community Gaming Grant Program Guidelines. Check the outreach page for additional virtual and in person information sessions. 
  • January 15: The 2024 Community Gaming Grants Program Guidelines are now available. All applicants are encouraged to review the updated Program Guidelines before submitting their next application.
    Reminder: The Arts and Culture sector will open on February 1, 2024. 

December 2023

  • December 1: The Human and Social Services sector is now closed. Please ensure that any supporting documents are sent by December 14, to CommunityGamingGrants@gov.bc.ca.  
    Reminder: Community Gaming Grants will be accepting applications for the Arts and culture sector, starting February 1, 2024.

2023

January 2023

  • January 17: Register for an upcoming presentation on February 22 about the 2023-24 Community Gaming Grants Program Guidelines. 
  • January 13:  The 2023 Community Gaming Grants Program Guidelines are now available. All applicants are encouraged to review the updated Program Guidelines before submitting their next application.
    Reminder: The Arts and Culture sector will open on February 1.

February 2023

  • February 23:  Please note that due to processing delays, all grant applicants in the Human & Social Services sector will receive final notifications by March 31, 2023. We apologize for any inconvenience.
  • February 1: The 2023 Arts and Culture Sector is now open! Applications for funding in the Arts and Culture Sector will be accepted until April 30, 2023.

March 2023

  • March 13:  The 2023 PAC & DPAC Guidelines & Conditions are now available.  All applicants are encouraged to review the updated Program Guidelines before submitting their next application.
  • March 1: The 2023 Sports Sector is now open! Applications for funding in the Sports Sector will be accepted until May 31, 2023.

June 2023

  • June 5: The 2023 Capital Projects Grant intake is now open! The Capital Projects Grant Guidelines are now available. All applicants are encouraged to review the updated Program Guidelines before submitting an application. Register for a webinar June 7 at 12:00 P.M.
    Reminder: The PAC & DPAC sector will close on June 30. 

December 2023

  • December 1: The Human and Social Services sector is now closed. Please ensure that any supporting documents are sent by December 14, to CommunityGamingGrants@gov.bc.ca.  
    Reminder: Community Gaming Grants will be accepting applications for the Arts and culture sector, starting February 1, 2024.

January 2022

  • January 12: Register for an upcoming presentation on January 28, 2022 about the 2022-23 Community Gaming Grants Program Guidelines.

  • January 5: The 2022 Community Gaming Grants Program Guidelines are now available. All applicants are encouraged to review the updated Program Guidelines before submitting their next application.

February 2022

March 2022

April 2022

  • April 25:  The 2022 Capital Project Sector will be open June 4 – August 4, 2022. The Capital Project Sector Guide will be available in the next few weeks. 
    Reminder: The Arts & Culture sector will close on April 30.

May 2022

  • May 16: The 2022 Capital Sector Guide is now available. Applications are being accepted June 4 to August 4. All applicants are encouraged to review the updated Sector Guide before submitting their next application. Join us for a webinar on June 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM PDT. Registration details to be announced. 
    Reminder: The Sports Sector will close on May 31.

June 2022

  • June 14:  The 2022 Capital Projects Sector is now open! Applications for funding in this sector will be accepted until August 4, 2022. Join us for a webinar on June 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM PDT.
    The 2022 Human and Social Services Sector is now open! Applications for funding in this sector will be accepted until November 30, 2022.

July 2022

August 2022

  • August 23: The British Columbia Association of Charitable Gaming is hosting a webinar aimed at applicants in the Human and Social Services sector. Join us Wednesday, Aug 24, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM PDT.
    Reminder: The Environment and Public Safety Sectors will close on August 31. 

December 2022

  • December 1: Each year the Community Gaming Grants program distributes $140 million to more than 5,000 community organizations. See our 2021-22 Annual Report for more information about how this funding is distributed. Our public reporting is updated throughout the year on the reports, statistics and publications page.
  • Reminder: The Human and Social Services sector is now closed. Please ensure that any supporting documents are sent by December 14.

February 2021

  • Feb 1: The 2021 Arts and Culture Sector is now open! Applications for funding in the Arts and Culture Sector will be accepted until April 30, 2021.

  • April 1: The 2021 PAC and DPAC Sector is now open! Applications for funding in this sector will be accepted until June 30, 2021.  Remember to ensure your Gaming Account Summary Reports are up-to-date.

  • June 1: The Capital Project Sector is now open! Applications for funding in this sector will be accepted until July 31.

  • June 1: The Human and Social Services Sector is now open! Applications for funding in this sector will be accepted until November 30.
  • June 4: The 2021 Program Guidelines webinar is now available to watch on our Outreach and Presentations page.  
  • June 24: The 2021 Capital Grant webinar is now available to watch on our Outreach and Presentations page. 
  • June 24: Register for upcoming live presentations here.

July 2021

  • July 1: The Public Safety and Environment Sectors open. Applications for funding in these sectors will be accepted until August 31.

August 2021

  • August 25: Please note that due to the current wildfire situation the application deadline for Public Safety organizations currently assisting with fire fighting, or directly impacted by the fires has been extended to September 30, 2021. Please indicate how your organization was impacted within the application, if utilizing this extension. Prior permission is not required. Final notification may be delayed.

November 2021

  • November 23: Please note that due to impacts resulting from the current flooding and mudslide situation in British Columbia, the application deadline for Human and Social Services organizations has been extended to December 14, 2021. Please indicate in the application how your organization has been impacted, if you would like to use this extension. Final notification may be delayed to March 14.

December 2021
