Do you have some feedback to share? There are several ways to resolve concerns about the service we deliver. If you have a concern, it is best to raise it as soon as possible with the coroner. If you are unable to resolve the concern, you can ask to be put in contact with their supervisor. The coroner can supply you with contact information for the supervisor. You can also call the general inquiries number listed above to reach the supervisor. This can allow concerns to be resolved quickly and can contribute to a positive experience for both you and those in the Coroners Service.
If you believe your concerns have not been addressed by the coroner and supervisor, you may submit a formal complaint by email with your concerns and the details of what occurred to BCCSComplaints@gov.bc.ca. If you do not have access to email, you can send it to the fax number listed above or by mail to the Burnaby HQ. Please ensure that it is labelled as a formal complaint.
If you believe the Coroners Service’s response is unfair, unreasonable or inconsistent with relevant policy, procedures or legislation, you may wish to raise your concerns with the Office of the Ombudsperson. The Ombudsperson is an independent Officer of the B.C. Legislature who impartially investigates complaints from the public to ensure people are treated fairly in the delivery of government services.
