Parenting After Separation courses are free online courses for B.C. parents and other family members who are dealing with separation or divorce and facing decisions about guardianship, parenting arrangements, contact, child support and spousal support.
If you are involved in a family law case in B.C. Provincial Court, you may be required to complete a Parenting After Separation Course.
For more information see the Parenting After Separation brochure. You can choose to take Parenting After Separation or Parenting After Separation for Indigenous Families.
Although not a course that will meet the BC Provincial Court Rules requirement to complete a Parenting After Separation Course as part of a family law case, the Parenting After Separation: Finances program provides information and strategies about finances to separated parents. The course assists parents to understand how to address the financial issues connected with separating and how to develop business-like strategies for dealing with these issues for the long term. The program is also appropriate for extended family members and members of the community who provide support to separating parents.
This course is available online. For more information go to https://pas-finances.familieschange.ca/.
