NROS Portal for Electronic Applications

The Natural Resource Online Services (NROS) Portal is an online system for Natural Resource clients to submit a variety of operational data in order to meet regulatory and conditional data submission requirements.

The NROS Portal accepts the following submission types:

  • Cutting Permit (CP) Amendments
  • Road Notifications:
    • Notice of use of a forest service road or forest resource road authorized under permit or licence.
    • Notification of Road Construction
    • Notice of Intent to deactivate any or all road sections authorized under a Road Permit (RP).
    • Notification to end maintenance on a forest service road (for the holder of a Road User Permit (RUP) that has been designated by the District Manager to maintain the road).
  • New RUPs and RUP amendments to add/remove sections & RUP closure.
  • RP amendments to remove sections or RP closure, only applies to section(s) deactivated or for inclusion in RP issued to another person.

The NROS Portal *does not* accept the following submission types:

  • New CP, new RP or RP amendments with spatial changes.
  • RP amendments to remove:
    • a) sections declared a forest service road, or
    • b) sections subject to District Manager notification that the road should not be deactivated.
      • Submission accepted by email or hard copy to the associated Natural Resource District office.
