RESULTS application

The Reporting Silviculture Updates and Land Status Tracking System (RESULTS) application tracks silviculture information by managing the submission of openings, disturbances, silviculture activities and obligation declarations as required by the Forest and Range Practices Act.

About the RESULTS application

Data is submitted to RESULTS using an Electronic Submission Framework (ESF) file. It includes tabular and spatial information that is replicated in the B.C. Geographic Warehouse. Information is accessible at all times through the RESULTS application, various RESULTS reports, and the Data BC Catalogue. 

Users must have an IDIR (government staff) or a BCeID to request access to RESULTS. A BCeID is available to external clients by registering for a Business BCeID. With the exception of view only access, all users must complete required training prior to being granted access to RESULTS. 

Access request process

Training and testing is not required for view-only access.

To request access to RESULTS and the Electronic Submission Framework (ESF) applicants must complete:

• RESULTS training
• Online self-administered RESULTS exam
  • Login using a BCeID or government IDIR account
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the test
  • Grade will be displayed on the screen after answers are submitted
  • Fill out the access request form once test is completed
  • RESULTSAccess@gov.bc.ca will receive an email containing applicants score
• Online access request form
  • Temporary access may be granted prior to appropriate training and/or completing the self-administered test

Training recommendations

Training modules relate to specific job functions. For example, users with 'update' or 'declaration' access may or may not submit stocking standards. If they do, then they should complete the Stocking Standards Module. The table below offers training recommendations based on job function.
