Past Engagement

In 2019, the Ministry of Energy, Mines, and Low Carbon Innovation considered various amendments to the Greenhouse Gas Reduction (Renewable and Low Carbon Fuel Requirements) Act and the Renewable and Low Carbon Fuel Requirements Regulation. Amendments under consideration were detailed through several discussion papers. 

2019 Consultations

Amendments under consideration were discussed in three separate discussion papers on general amendments, refinery improvements, and penalties for non-compliance with the carbon intensity reduction requirements.

Engagement related to these discussion papers closed in 2019. Thank you to all that participated. 

Avoided Emissions Policy

The purpose of this intentions paper was to inform stakeholders of relevant background information regarding an avoided emissions policy, to discuss the alternatives under consideration, and to solicit feedback.
