Ostomy supplies covered by BC PharmaCare
Last updated on February 19, 2026PharmaCare covers ostomy supplies for people who have undergone bladder or bowel surgery that results in a colostomy, ileostomy or urostomy, requiring an external pouch.
Ostomy supplies are covered under these plans:

Certain ostomy supplies not covered by PharmaCare may be covered under Non-Insured Health Benefits

PharmaCare covers most ostomy supplies up to the regular retail price but does not cover a dispensing fee. The actual amount PharmaCare reimburses under Fair PharmaCare depends on whether you have met your deductible or family maximum.
