Health Technology Assessments

Publication date: July 31, 2025

Health Technology Assessment Committee (HTAC) findings and the conclusions of health technology assessments (HTAs) are based on the best available evidence at the time of their completion. As new research and clinical data become available, the evidence base may evolve, and the relevance or accuracy of the findings may change accordingly. Users are encouraged to consult current sources.

The costs and economic models presented in the reports represent estimates only and may not be realized as actual costs or expected savings by the health system. These reports are intended as information for the system sponsor (a person or group authorized to make planning and/or policy decisions) and nothing contained is intended as medical or health advice.

The HTAs are produced by independent organizations under contract for the HTA Office. The components and analyses within the reports vary based on the needs of the end users and are typically contextualized for British Columbia. While every effort is made, the accuracy of the information cannot be guaranteed, and viewers are urged to verify the information before acting upon it.

It is at the discretion of the system sponsor and any other applicable entities to determine if and how health technologies are provided.
