Nominate a Health Technology for Review

The Health Technology Assessment Committee selects non-drug health technologies to review on an annual basis through a Call for Topics process, although topics may be submitted for consideration at any time during the year. To nominate a topic, please download and complete this form (PDF, 281KB). Please send it via email to the Health Technology Assessment Office (HTA.Office@gov.bc.ca) before the end of November in order to be considered for the next fiscal year. More information about this process can be found on this page and an example of a completed form can be seen here.

Independent Clinical Appraisals

The Health Technology Assessment Office seeks up to five physicians to provide input for each assessment. The Health Technology Assessment Office maintains a roster of interested physicians who are contacted throughout the year as opportunities arise. Expert reviewers are compensated through their MSP billing number (MSP billing number is required for remuneration); further information is included with topic-specific solicitations. If you would like to be notified of such opportunities please send an email to HTA.Office@gov.bc.ca with the following information:

  • Your name and title
  • Personal phone number and email address
  • Confirmation you have a MSP billing number for remuneration
  • Your area(s) of practice/expertise
