HTAC Recommendations

Due to the limited existing evidence for the clinical and cost effectiveness of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) for patients with open-angle glaucoma, the Committee does not recommend expanding the use of MIGS in British Columbia.
Ongoing use of MIGS in BC should be monitored to inform future analyses. HTAC recommends reviewing MIGS technologies again when compelling new evidence of their clinical benefits becomes available.
