All products are hormone free, vegetable-grain fed, with no ractopamine used.

Safety is ensured through a QA Department and on-site Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) Inspector, as well as British Retail Consortium (BRC) certification.

DFF was established in 1993 in Vancouver, beginning primarily as a meta-procurement and delivery service. As the company grew, owner Donald Leung realized that the changes that were underway in the meat industry presented opportunities beyond the limited scope and operating capacity of his current facility. In 1997, a small pork abattoir in Langley, B.C., was purchased, and Mr. Leung began the process of transforming this operation into a specialty pork plant that could deliver on his vision of a boutique pork company with a dedication to food safety, product quality, and enhanced levels of customer service.
