Well reports
Last updated on September 4, 2024Under the Groundwater Protection Regulation, the well driller or person responsible is required to submit well reports/records within 90 days after completion of drilling, altering, or decommissioning of a well to the Comptroller of Water Rights. Well reports form the basis of the well record.

Well report submission
Please submit the completed well reports:
- Online via the provincial Groundwater Wells and Aquifer Application (GWELLS)
- ​​​​​​​The GWELLS Data Entry Guidelines (PDF, 2.6MB) provide information on how to enter water well information from current Ministry of Environment well record forms into GWELLS Application.
