2024/25 Interim Operating Grants
Last updated on January 28, 2025Government is providing an additional $365 million in operating grants to school districts in 2024/25 that total an estimated $7.128 billion.
The ministry is increasing the basic per-student allocation for standard, alternate and continuing education schools by 3.4% for 2024/25.
Other changes include:
- An additional $101.6 million for students with disabilities or diverse abilities, an 11.6% increase.
- An additional $3.6 million in the Indigenous Education Targeted Funding, a 3.3% increase.
- An additional $15.6 million for English and French Language Learners (ELL/FLL), a 10.9% increase.
