Updated COVID-19 vaccines are available free of charge for B.C. residents this fall and winter. Getting a dose of the vaccine will protect you against serious illness from COVID-19 during viral respiratory illness season.

Notifications are going out from October to November 2026 to people who are recommended to get a COVID-19 vaccine. If a COVID-19 vaccine is recommended for you, you’ll receive a notification through the Get Vaccinated system when it's time to book your appointment.
If you have not received a notification by mid-November, you can call 1-833-838-2323 or log in to Get Vaccinated system to book an appointment.

Health Canada has a thorough review and approval process to make sure vaccines are safe and effective. There are currently three COVID-19 vaccines approved (two mRNA and one non-mRNA) and all are available in B.C. this year. Learn about approved COVID-19 vaccines in Canada.
B.C. will have non-mRNA vaccine (Nuvaxovid) at community pharmacies during the 2026-27 viral respiratory illness season. If you’re interested in a non-mRNA vaccine, contact the call centre for more information.
Find my Personal Health Number (PHN)
Each B.C. resident enrolled with the Medical Services Plan gets a unique lifetime identifier for health care called a Personal Health Number (PHN). Find your PHN on the back of your B.C. Driver’s Licence, BC Services Card or CareCard.

If you’ve entered the correct PHN but experience issues logging in, please contact the call centre at 1-833-838-2323 for assistance. If you do not have a PHN, call Health Insurance BC: 604-683-7151 (in Vancouver) or 1-800-663-7100 (toll-free elsewhere in B.C.).
Can I still get the COVID-19 vaccine if I’m not part of the recommended groups?
Everyone in B.C. who is interested can receive a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at no-cost. When you receive your notification to book your influenza appointment online, you can choose to get the COVID-19 vaccine too. Contact the call centre at 1-833-838-2323 or log on Get Vaccinated system to book your appointment.

COVID-19 vaccine appointments are prioritized for B.C. residents, particularly those at higher risk of severe illness.
Residents from other provinces and territories in Canada who would like to get vaccinated in B.C. can call the provincial vaccine line 1-833-838-2323 (toll free) to find out which public health units have immunization appointment availability for non-B.C. residents.
