Social Media Guidelines

Last updated on November 22, 2024

B.C. government employees have responsibilities and obligations when they use social media.

Government use

For government employees working through Government Communications and Public Engagement (GCPE), download Guidelines for Government Use of Social Media by BC Public Servants (PDF, 229KB).

Moderation policy

The Social Media Corporate Moderation Policy template should be used in all social media instances. The language cannot be changed. Contact GCPE's Digital Communications team for more information.

Personal use

As a BC Public Service employee, see Social Media Guidelines for Personal Use.
