Passenger Transportation Fees & Payment
Annual licence fees for operators with a passenger directed vehicle authorization were reduced effective June 22, 2020. The fee tables below have been updated accordingly.
How to Pay Registrar of Passenger Transportation
All fees are payable to the Minister of Finance (in Canadian funds only).
Fees are required at the time of application, transaction or request. Payments can be made by cheque, money order or credit card*. Debit card and cash payment is accepted if it is made in person. Fees for licence applications and temporary operating permits are nonrefundable unless otherwise specified.
* Do not send credit card account information with your application or request. You will be contacted by telephone to request your credit card information and authorization.
How to Pay Passenger Transportation Board

* If you are transferring a hybrid licence (both special and general authorization) only one application fee of $200 is required, provided both transfer applications are filed at the same time.

** There is no fee to replace a damaged plate provided you return the damaged plate and decal and Vehicle Identification Certificate (VIC).

TNS Trip Fee Payments
In addition to the annual licence renewal, TNS must pay $0.30 for each trip provided in a non-wheelchair accessible vehicle. This is a condition of licence and non-compliance may result in financial penalties or the suspension or cancellation of licence.
It is the responsibility of Licensees to
- determine what amount is owed
- ensure payments are made no later than the specified deadlines
Payments can be made by credit card, cheque, or money order. Trip fees are paid quarterly.

Payments are verified against the licensee's data submissions. Licensees will be contacted if discrepancies are found.
