The project team is proactively coordinating with CPKC rail to reduce delays
In July, work included:
Steel plate girders have been installed to support the heavy loads on the bridge deck
Construction of retaining wall structures to stabilize the slopes is underway

Traffic impacts
There will be intermittent closures and single lane alternating traffic as required to allow for construction
Drivers may experience delays of up to 40 minutes at the site due to train traffic and construction activities
Feedback from community members and drivers in the corridor is incorporated into traffic management to improve communication and predictability of delays
As construction work starts up at Gladwin Culvert, traffic management will be coordinated at both sites to improve the flow of traffic through the area
Project benefits
Improved safety and reliability
Improve climate resiliency
Opportunity for local communities and businesses
