Nicomen River Bridge is located 19 km south of Spences Bridge.

Status: Complete

Overview of the project

The Nicomen River Bridge project was completed in December 2024. This project:

  • Replaced the damaged previous Highway 1 Nicomen River Bridge, which was damaged by heavy rain and floods in November 2021
  • Reinforced the embankment to prevent erosion
  • Rehabilitated pavement on bridge approaches to ensure long-term durability

Status

  • Project completed December 2024
  • Highway bridge now open to 2 lanes
