Multi-agency hazard plans are an important part of ensuring B.C. is prepared for an emergency.

These comprehensive plans are reviewed and updated regularly to ensure an effective strategy is in place to address many types of emergencies and disasters. These plans help foster co-operation among multiple organizations that focus on public safety, infrastructure and property protection and recovery.

B.C. earthquake immediate response plan

The B.C. earthquake immediate response plan (IRP) is a provincial earthquake operational plan that details the initial actions to be undertaken by Emergency Management BC following a catastrophic earthquake.

Comprehensive emergency management plan

The Comprehensive emergency management plan (CEMP) is Emergency Management BC’s emergency planning structure.
