BC Family Maintenance Agency (BCFMA) will request up-to-date information on a payor's location, employment, and assets through a variety of federal and provincial computer databases.

BCFMA cannot guarantee they will be able to locate the payor. Providing information such as the kind of work the payor usually does, their social insurance number, birth date, and their mother's maiden name, will assist with tracing a payor's location.
