The Prince George FSP provides the results and strategies BCTS will follow to ensure sustainable forest management and meet the legal requirements of the Forest and Range Practices Act and regulations.
BC Timber Sales, Prince George Business Area has prepared a draft Amendment #26 to our Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP)#24 for BC Timber Sales (BCTS) is underway, focusing on key elements such as commercial thinning operations, the consideration of acceptable coniferous species at the "free growing" stage, and the implementation of Interior Deviation from Potential (DFP). Updates cover stream classification, invasive species risk ranking measures, and other changes can be found in the link below. Comments must be received on or before April 5th, 2024, to be considered.
In accordance with the Forest Planning and Practices Regulation, the Forest Stewardship Plan is available for public review and comment at the following location during regular office hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.):
