The Ministry regularly seeks feedback from the fuels sector, Indigenous peoples, civil society organizations and other jurisdictions to continuously improve B.C.’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS).

Chain of Custody Requirements Intentions Paper (PDF, 181KB)

The Ministry of Energy and Climate Solutions is inviting feedback from fuel producers, suppliers, and other stakeholders on its current interpretation of chain-of-custody requirements under the Low Carbon Fuels Act.

Input will help the Ministry better understand current industry approaches, including mass balance accounting and controlled blending, and will inform future guidance.

Written submissions are welcome until May 13, 2026.
