Provincial Access, Information & Resource Services, CYSN (PAIRS)

Autism Information Services (AIS BC) has become Provincial Access, Information & Resource Services, CYSN (PAIRS). 

While continuing to provide autism-related information and support, PAIRS reflects an enhanced and evolving role in supporting children and youth with a broader range of support needs. Building on the strengths of AIS, PAIRS provides families throughout British Columbia with information, resources, guidance, and connections to supports across a child's journey - from early childhood through the transition to adulthood. The new name better represents PAIRS' provincial role in helping families access the information, resources, and supports they need to make informed decisions and meet their unique needs.

​How PAIRS Supports Families 

Provincial Access, Information and Resource Services (PAIRS) is a provincial information and resource service that provides evidence-informed information, resources and supports to families, service providers, and community professionals across British Columbia. 

PAIRS can assist families by providing information, guidance, and resources to help them make informed decisions and access available supports and services on: 

• Learning about assessment, diagnosis, and available supports 
• Apply for, and how to use Autism Funding  
• How to use the BC Children and Youth Disability Benefit
• Evidence-informed and best-practice approaches 
• Connecting with professionals, service providers, and community resources 
• Accessing provincial and local supports and services 
• Managing key transitions, including preschool, school-age years, and the transition to adulthood
