The Francophone Affairs Program supports the planning and delivery of French language government services as well as initiatives implemented by non-profit organizations that address the needs of French-speaking British Columbians.
There are three different ways organizations can access funding:
The provincial funding for French language services supports Francophone and Francophile non-profit organizations with the implementation of initiatives that will improve the lives of French-speaking British Columbians.
The Canada – B.C. Agreement on French Language Services (PDF) supports the planning and delivery of French language government services for the B.C. Francophone community. Eligible projects must have a matching contribution from a provincial ministry, Crown Corporation, government agency or municipality worth at least 50% of the project’s French component.
Through the B.C. – Quebec Agreement on Cooperation and Exchange with respect to the Francophonie (PDF), eligible non-profit organisations may apply to the Programme de coopération intergouvernementale (PCI) for funding to implement an initiative developed in collaboration with an organization in Quebec.
